Policymakers in Washington, DC, have already been hell-bent on substituting the current Iranian government with a more willing to flex into the US’ wants because the very early times of the Trump administration, Shabbir Razvi, economist and political analyst, also informs Sputnik.

“The rhetoric coming out of Washington because [US President Donald] Trump’s election has been just 1 manner,” Razvi told Radio Sputnik’s Loud & Clear on Wednesday.

“And that is to remove the present authorities from Tehran and also to place another party in energy which will be subservient to the US projects in the Middle East.”

The analyst said that it’s because Iran refuses to abide by Washington’s rules it has recently been hit with numerous rounds of sanctions, such as these reimposed in 2018 as a result of those US withdrawal from the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

Most recently, the US arranged the departure of non-emergency personnel at the US Embassy in Baghdad and its consulate in Irbil on Wednesday, urging people to”depart Iraq by commercial transportation as soon as possible.” The order was issued after the selection of intelligence that signaled that its proxy forces or Iran were supposedly intending to attack US forces or interests in the area\.

This latest development comes a day after US Central Controller put coalition forces in Iraq on high alert over what it described as a stream of possible threats , and many days after Washington enhanced its presence in the region by sending an aircraft carrier strike group to the Persian Gulf.

Earlier this week, the New York Times reported that Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan presented US President Donald Trump with a military plan to deploy 120,000 troops into the area in the function that Iran either attacked US forces or seemed to be attempting to make nuclear weapons. Trump has promised the Times reported”fake news,” and that if the US were to follow on this strategy, it might deploy much more soldiers.

Razvi told host Brian Becker that the reality is that Iran has actually acted as a positive force in the region, especially in its attempts to eliminate the Daesh militant group.

“The truth is that Iraq has been freed of [Daesh] because of Iran’s involvement; prior to that, [Daesh] was having a excellent period at Iraq,” the analyst said. “Iran has contributed to the stability of Iraq [and] Iran has contributed to the stability of Syria by eliminating [Daesh forces].”

“I don’t understand where the policymakers and the trio — Trump, [US National Security Adviser John] Bolton and [US Secretary of State Mike] Pompeo are actually coming out,” he added.

Iranian officials have rejected American allegations of hostility from Tehran, stating rather that Washington is engaged in a game of psychological warfare. Since it faces tightening US sanctions, iranian President Hassan Rouhani recently called for unity among the nation’s political factions.
